# telnetd.org

*The daemon that logged you in with the password in the clear. Wit, CRTs, and a man page.*

telnetd.org is an art-directed landing around the old Telnet server: RFC 854, port 23, amber phosphor, a coiled keyboard. sshd took the job. The name is still here. A joke every operator already knows, photographed like a museum label. Do not leave telnetd running on a public address — the page is the caution, not a howto.
